PREFACE
The Holy Spirit stirred my heart a season ago to examine the true nature of the kingdom of God. Growing up in church all my life has almost seared my understanding into accepting that the church mentality was the true will of God, and that everything we do in church is not just the right way, but the only way to fulfill righteousness through His teaching on the Word, His Practice, His ways, and His sacrifice to us to make us the believers we are in Him today, for He is Blessed forevermore, Amen.
It was the other side of the church, however, which began to concern my continued interest in the church. The way we thought on life, the incessant complaints we hear and discuss behind closed church doors, and the life-styles which seemingly betrayed testimonies of loving all unconditionally, made me aware that something was not right here. If we are happy, then why are so many Christians showing sadness? If we are the church people we say we are, then why are there so many divorces anoung us? If we are the church people we proclaim to be, then why is it that life seems like a drag to some and a chore to others? If we are the church people we like to be, then why is there such a lack of forgiveness in the Christian community, where resentments are held tight for years and the love of many has waxed cold? And if we are the church people we are supposed to be, then why are we witnessing a voluminous spillage of mouthy worship with little commitment to serving God from the heart?
My thoughts led me to dare speculating, that the church mentality could be more cultural than biblical in many setting in our lives, and maybe, just maybe, my understanding of church is not the true masterpiece I made the church to be in my mind. The church cannot be without the Cross of Christ; no Christian denies that, and truly, the church cannot exist without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ being the Head, in whom we live, and move, and have our being. Again, no true Christian denies that, but what happens after the great confession? What do we do now? How do we manifest everything that has been given to the church? How do we show that truly the gates of hell will not prevail against the church, including our families, our personal walk with the Lord, our homes, our place in society, and our calling in the church?
I was going through silently, but found interest in seeking understanding to the subject of kingdom manifestations as opposed to a cultural church. There has to be something more than just the church "thing" that has been so much a part of my life. It was around that time that I saw a book by Dr. Myles Munroe entitled, "Kingdom Principles: Preparing for Kingdom Experience and Expansion", Copyright 2006... and needless to say, after reading this profund book, my life has forever changed regarding Kingdom and church mentality. Many of Dr. Munroe's thinking and ideas are found in this book you are about to read, but I equally endorse these thoughts as personal convictions and the true fountain of knowledge for Christian maturity and further development which I hope will also be a blessing to you as it was to me.
