I was re-baptized the first week of this month in Florida by my Minister Sister and her husband while on vacation with them. It was awesome how God moved that day and every day since. Yesterday, April 17th, was a Holy Spirit 'flooded' service: God's presence was so powerful, I felt as though I would lift off the ground!!! I was overcome by the Majesty of God's Presence. Glory to His Name.

I thank Him for the Gift of the Holy Spirit; and for having the chance to reclaim my place in His Kingdom. The LOVE of God is alive and well at Shiloh.

*** Thank you Bishop and Pastor Bettye Howell, Jr., thank you for your constant love and kindness and sensitivity to God's Holy Spirit. Thank you Sisters from the old church and the new church; and thank you Brothers. I mean it when I hug you and tell you I love you; God knows it.

In closing, my Son Joshua, who was baptized at age 5 in the old church (he asked to be baptized then and had a vision), plans to attend church with me again. He is now almost 27-years-old with two beautiful little girls. He has a beautiful singing voice which I always encourage him to use. He is a truly wonderful young man. Pray that he will be able to use his Gifts and Talents at Shiloh.

When my husband passed away in 1995, after ten years of being totally disabled, and spending seven of those years in a nursing home (the VA did not give us a choice to keep him at home); he was only age 50 when he died, and our son was only in Grade School. Then we lost my husband's family contact; after he died they never contacted me and my son again. Then we lost half of our small family because they moved down south; we had no support system of family or close friends who were "real" friends except ST family. Over the years, my son saw me volunteer at church, take care of a house on a big corner lot (snow shovel, rake 40 bags of leave from our maple tree every year, mow the grass, trim the shrubs), visit his Dad every day at the nursing home, take in church goers in need, drive to my parent's farm 150 miles one way and take them to the Mayo Clinic in southern Minnesota and back again to north central Minnesota, all within a few days. My son saw me do all this with a smile on my face (though my heart was heavy and I was totally exhausted). Anyway, I recently asked my son, "Joshua, did I give you a terrible childhood?" MY SON REPLIED, "MOM, YOU GAVE ME A WONDERFUL CHILDHOOD: YOU LET ME BE A KID AND HAVE FUN. YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME WHEN NO ONE WAS THERE FOR YOU. I WISH I COULD GO BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD. I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE OF YOU, MOM." AND THEN HE GAVE ME A BIG HUG. MY SON GAVE ME A HUGE GIFT: THE TRUE FEELINGS OF HIS HEART ABOUT WITNESSING HIS MOM'S LIFE FIRST HAND AND SEEING GOD IN THE HARD TIMES AS WELL AS THE GOOD MOMENTS. WHAT MORE COULD ANY MOTHER ASK FOR.

I attended Palm Sunday worship today. It was so filled with the Holy Spirit of God that I could feel it throughout my being. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry, or both; I didn't know if I should fall to my knees or kick up my heels for the joy of "being home" after years away. No church has given me and my family the love and hugs that Shiloh has; no church service allows the Holy Spirit to move like Shiloh Temple does.

Since I was a member of the old Shiloh in the Phillip Neighborhood, and my husband died, my son and I have been through many valleys and deserts and mountains. Only the Belief In Jesus' Love and Mercy has kept us. We have had evil done to us by many in the world and my late husband's family stopped contacting us after my husband's funeral service. This devestated our son Joshua ("God is Salvation" is the meaning of my son's name.) and he no longer wanted to go to any church. He became totally grieved in spirit due to some bad church goers who did us much evil, the death of his Dad at age 50, and the loss of an uncle mentor and his Dad's whole family. I am believing God to heal my son Joshua's broken heart and spirit. I am believing miracles for all of my family and my brethren at Shiloh and elsewhere. JESUS CHRIST IS THE KING OF kings AND THE LORD OF lords. He is the Beginning and the Ending. I owe everything to the 'LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH'.

We have been blessed by God through Shiloh Temple Church Ministries since we moved to Minnesota from Anchorage, Alaska, in 1987. The Brothers of Shiloh Temple Church, at the old Shiloh Church in the Phillips Neighborhood were so kind to my late husband David Carter: They would carry him up the many steps in his wheelchair so that he could join in worship with my young son and me. I shall never forget the love and mercy and grace that Shiloh has demonstrated to us as a family. My son is now almost 27-years-old, and I have been blessed to have two granddaughters, Madelyne and Anastasia, through my son Joshua. We still consider Shiloh Temple our Church Home on earth. God Bless First Lady Howell and Bishop Richard D. Howell, Jr., for their love and prayers over the years. The Carter family loves you and appreciates you. Sincerely, Renee L. Carter.
